Opened on 24th June 2014, this Victorian building was formerly a car showroom. The bar has two displays of six handpulls, with two each of the core beers and then the option for up to six rotating guest ales. One traditional boxed cider is always available. The entrance area doubles as the 'bar' with the rear being the 'lounge', and predominantly used by diners. To the front is a patio/garden area with seating and smoking shelter, overlooking the busy town centre shopping area on Nottingham Road. Named in honour of local writer DH Lawrence.
