Recently reopened in June 2024 and run by two locals who want to create a family friendly atmosphere.

Bus services stop at Silver Street on the route to Leicester and Loughborough but, confusingly, at Recreation Centre on the route to Coalville - even though the stops are almost opposite each other. Fortunately, the Arriva 16 and 126 now goes past the pub since January 2025.
