Seventeenth-century pub on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds between York and Malton. With its low ceilings and tiled flagged floors, the pub is homely and welcoming, serving locally sourced food and a range of local and regional ales. The pub has a tradtional bar with real fire, and an intriguing series of rooms. Guest beer usually from Yorkshire. A popular stopping off point for ramblers as well as locals. The outside drinking area boasts table football and a cask of drinking water for dogs complete with hand pump!
