Club, but non-members can pay £1 on the door.

The Invergordon distillery opened a clubhouse which wasn’t much more than a wooden hut in the 60s; It was for distillery workers only.

They progressed to the building they now occupy in the 70s and opened membership to all within a certain boundary which included many who worked at the British Aluminium smelter, and quickly arrived at 1600 plus members.

At one time, it was the most popular club in the North of Scotland.

Although the membership is down and the three full sized snooker tables are gone, the clubhouse is still within the distillery ownership although the distillery itself is now owned by Whyte & Mackay and the smelter long since gone.

The Social club still stages a couple of big music events every year.

Although a club, it is understood that there is no requirement to sign in.
