An imposing interwar pub with a striking copper roof, situated opposite the station. Formerly Courage, but now part of the Craft Union chain, it is typical of their style with many of the original features now removed. There is pool and darts in the bar and an outside yard adjacent to the railway line. Usually one cask beer available.
