Reopened in late September 2023, now serving one regular beer form Thwaites and up to three guest beers, largely from their seasonal range but sometimes from their approved list of larger breweries. Food is available daily, and there is a quiz on Thursday evenings.

Please note that last orders for food may be called 30 minutes before the stated times.

Originally built in the 17th century as a farmhouse, this large and comfortable ex-Whitbread pub is now owned by Thwaites. The refurbished spacious semi-open plan lounge, complete with its original massive stone fireplace and open fire, faces towards the bar. There is a small snug and a large separate dining room to the left, the latter constructed in a former barn and cottage. Outside there is a terraced beer garden and a large resurfaced car park.
