Following a few years as a pizza & cocktail bar called Bloo88, it reopened on 20 April 2024 under its traditional name of Hallamshire Hotel as music orientated venue with a programme of live bands and DJs.

There are future plans to make changes to the venue which will see the upstairs function room brought back to use, improvements to the beer garden and cask ale added to the bar.
