Two-bar community pub near Newbury RFC and the site of the first Battle of Newbury, 1643. This excellent two-bar community pub has traded under its present name since 1761. The lounge bar has a partial wall containing a wood-burning stove, which separates it from a smaller dining area. The separate public bar offers darts, pool, TV and juke-box. There is a large car park, beer garden and outdoor covered area for smokers.
Previously Indian Kitchen at The Gun Pub since November 2016 for restaurant and takeaway food. Under new management since February 2026.
Sharp's Doom Bar is the regular beer and Renegade Good Old Boy may also be available.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
