The Griffin is a 16th century timber framed village centre pub located opposite the impressive local church. It has four ales, including two regulars and a well stocked bar. The real fires and wooden framed ceiling add to the friendly atmosphere and there are both pool and darts facilities for the more energetic visitors. Every Wednesday there is an open mic night and there are regular Saturday music events. Live sports are also shown. Visitors on a Monday may hear sea shantys being practised in the back room.
