This Pub is Closed Long Term

03/06/26 - Pub closed. Currently being renovated. What it will be afterwards not known. A local Camra Member comments thus, "A friend talked to some workers on the site and the lower floor to remain a pub. The upper floors to become residential. The Green Man was originally a Hotel."

Large suburban pub, rebuilt by Truman's in 1937, in attractive mock-baronial style with decorative stonework and herringbone windows. Lightly Irish themed, but popular with a good mix of local custom. Separate dining and function room behind on the left. Big garden that has children swings at rear. Does good Sunday lunch. Offers English and Romanian dishes.
