Grade 2 Listed market town pub facing onto the main square with food available (not Sunday evenings from October - Easter). The comfortable interior has been opened up into a single room, although with distinct drinking areas, and the Sunday carvery is popular. A showcase for Wensleydale Brewery beers, Theakston's Old Peculier is also available in summer. Sells OAP lunches on Fridays. Meals on Sunday may stop earlier if the food runs out.
