Reopened as Godet - from the article below, "Taking over what was once The Seveney pub will be Godet (that's French slang for "a glass"), it was originally pitched as a wine-focused pub, but beer will now be a big offering too. They'll have nine taps, all with craft beers from across the UK and regular tap takeovers."

Jan 2024 - Google review - 7 months ago "It’s closed and doors are sealed." Google states perm closed.

Had been operated as an independently run establishment until it was sold by Durham Atkinson in December 2017 and then reopened as The Seveney, a "botanical bar and dining", no we were not sure either.

It had a bright, spacious single-roomed bar, plus a heated rear patio.

Local Listing:- Dual render frontage, Essex Road and Mitchison Road. Mitchison Road: Six pilasters, two stallrisers, two boarded up door, two boarded up windows. (All round timber fascia, render dentil cornice).
