GiaGia opened in August 2023, a Mediterranean bar and restaurant specializing in cocktails.

Prior to that it was the Schoolhouse bar & restaurant opened in 2016 replacing several short lived restaurants in this location. The Knights of St John restaurant and the Thyme & Place restaurant & bar had been the most recent. As the Hydro-bar it closed in 2011.

An interesting selection of sixty plus craft beers was available via keg, bottles and cans as well as cocktails and wines. The school themed menu ranged from Headmaster’s Breakfast to Schoolhouse Beef Rib for dinner. The Tuck Shop menu was for lighter snacks, eg fish fingers.
