This Pub is Closed Long Term

The George Music Bar, is a Free House that stands on the corner of South Street and Twickenham Rd. The present building dates back to at least 1731 (and is Grade II listed), although the cellar possibly goes back some four to five hundred years. It is reputed that some form of ale house has been on this site since the thirteenth century. The pub - its days as a thriving gay bar are long-forgotten - is to close its doors for good on Friday 30th September 2016 due to the dying local night-life.
