This is an attractive 17C inn, the local CAMRA Rural Pub of the Year 2024. Blindmans King George the Thirst is their regular (brewed exclusively brewed for pub) and usually two guest ales from West Country independents. They also host two beer festivals a year. Up to four traditional ciders are available with Stones and Hecks as alternating real ciders. There is a large main bar, a snug with fireplace, family room and separate dining room. The food is highly recommended, home-cooked using locally sourced ingredients. Themed food nights. Skittle alley/meeting room to rear. Large garden with covered terrace. Peter and Veryan, the excellent landlords, have now been at the George for over 25 years, and, we hope, many more!
