Friendly, community village pub situated over the hill from Woolton village and separated from Menlove Avenue by blocks of flats. A popular quiz is held on Tuesday evening. Woolton is famous as the home of the Beatles, with their original name 'Quarrymen' from Woolton quarry, St Peter's church where they first met, and Eleanor Rigby's grave.
