Traditional village pub with a lively atmosphere. Once a coaching house, the pub has been extended with Georgian and Victorian additions. There is usually a local cask ale available along with a local cider served by gravity. Several rooms, one with a piano (live music on Sundays) and sofas. Emphasis is on food and booking is advised, especially for Sunday lunch. Take away food is also available. Popular with walkers and cyclists.
