This traditional old cottage-style Cornish inn is the only pub left in the parish of Sancreed, It is set in a quiet hamlet on the Penzance-St Just road. The are bus stops 10m from the pub in both directions, so easy to find your way here, and then home again, on the 4A. The pub reopened late summer 2022 after 4 years closure.
A warm welcome is assured at the Fountain, which boasts beamed ceilings, exposed granite walls and a spectacular inglenook and log burner. There are occasional traditional music jam sessions on alternate Tuesdays as well as the odd bingo or quiz night. The Landlady keeps the Facebook page up to date with all their news and events, so do look there for key information. There are three rooms available to book for accommodation.
The two real ales are generally from Penzance Brewing Company. You are likely to find something from their range of pale ales, as these are the ones loved by the pub's regular customers. Cheese or hams rolls are offered along side scotch eggs with pickle or a cheese board if you get peckish.
