A rare back street local survivor, formerly a Watney pub rebuilt c.1938 by architects Culpin & Son. Name shortened from British Flag. The new publican who took over in November 2015 has comprehensibly redecorated it inside and out, shortening the name from the British Flag. It had briefly been renamed Careys 5 some years previously.
