Non-pretentious yet welcoming local pub, set back slightly from the Market Place, and backing onto a convenient public car park. It was once an ale house with stabling attached and there is an early reference to the inn in 1654.

The pub signs have faded to such an extent that the ghost lettering of 'the Albion' is now clearly visible. The pub signs had been salvaged from another pub before being hung at the Feathers.

Historic Interest

Ashton Gate Brewery of Bristol owned the Feathers at the beginning of the 20th-century, then ownership passed through takeovers to Georges' Bristol Brewery and eventually Courage. It is now owned by a small Yorkshire based pub company.
