This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Housed in an impressive Grade II listed Georgian building, the grand portico entrance leads into an architecturally-impressive interior. The club, formed in 1896, celebrating 130 years this year.
It has an active snooker, pool and darts teams, and multiple TVs to screens live sport on Sky and TNT Sports. It holds lots of internal competitions with winners getting their name up in gold leaf on one of the many honours boards.
The Cask Marque accredited ale is well-kept and it has in the past been voted local CAMRA Club of the Years 2011,2012 and 2013! Visitors are asked to present a CAMRA membership card for free entry and drinks at members rates! Membership for The Farmers runs from 1 September to 31 August and receive members prices on draught, cask and spirits! They also now have membership loyalty cards to receive free drinks.
No more limit on the amount of visits in the club. The ‘fresh ale’ is very clearly labelled and bar staff also say how it is different to cask ale.
