Just off the north end of Bridge Street, the main pedestrianized shopping street in the town. A fairly small pub of stone and brick construction. Recently and sympathetically refurbished, carpet now covers the flag stone floor giving a warm cosy feel. The ceiling beams are exposed, as are the interior stone walls. Sport is constantly shown on the wall-mounted TVs with a particular lean towards horse racing. As reported by a CAMRA member in August 2025, only keg beer served.
