Named after The Buffs, a local Royal Regiment, The East Kent is situated towards one end of Whitstable’s main shopping area and re-opened in December 2016 after a major refurbishment and upgrade to a bright modern airy style which did, however, remove many of its original internal features. There is outdoor seating on the patios at the front and back of the pub. Reopened again summer 2025. Check with pub on food times. No cask real ale available.
