Historic Interest

Formerly the Horse & Jockey, in 1876 it was a fully licensed establishment under L Kirk (Post Office Directory).

In the 1823 Alehouse Recognizances for the Broxtowe Hundred, the Horse & Jockey was under victualler John Rhodes (County Archives C/QD/LV/4/3/6).

Eagles Corner, along with the Ernehale and the Eagle, is one of three contemporary pubs in Arnold to refer to the Anglo-Saxon origin of the name Arnold meaning "Eagle's Nook".
