This former coaching inn has seen several changes of ownership with accompanying interior alterations in recent years, the most significant being the takeover by Robinsons in 2010. In 2013 there were modest alterations which have restored a warm feel, reinforced by real fires, to the interior decor. The beer range reflects the Robinsons ownership and the food is of a quality and price to challenge a number of similar pubs within a few miles.
