Welcoming 18th century pub, reputedly haunted by an oft-seen Grey Lady ghost. Good value pub food is served in the lounge and bar which has a welcoming open fire and a la carte menu in the Lambton restaurant. There is also a large function room. The pub is family-friendly with extensive gardens.

Cask ale withdrawn in summer 2025 and handpull removed.
