Established in 1826. Self-described as a beautiful local pub, with great food, drink and amazing hospitality. Good range of keg beers but no cask ale. The seasonal-menu food offering includes pub favourites, traditional pies, and Sunday roasts.

The pub was part of the small London Frontier Pubs chain but as of Jan 2026 this has morphed into a new venture, Highpress, with five London sites at date of thia entry.
