Established in 1826. Self-described as a beautiful local pub, with great food, drink and amazing hospitality. Good range of keg beers but no cask ale. The seasonal-menu food offering includes pub favourites, traditional pies, and Sunday roasts.

The pub was part of the small London Frontier Pubs chain but as of Jan 2026 this morphed into a new venture, Highpress, with five London sites at date of this entry.
