Hotel and restaurant with a public bar.
Another beautiful 17th century stone house which became an inn in the 19th century, with mullioned windows and a fine doorway; this was the original pub of Garne’s Brewery (of Burford) taken over by Wadworths in 1969 before being sold as a free house. The hotel has been refurbished and extended under new ownership. And renamed.
Historic Interest
Built 1660 as a farm or dower house and later became an inn. Had stables attached at one time, demolished to widen road.
