The Dog is a comfortable free house, close to the River Ant, and with its own camping and caravan site. There's also plenty of outside seating, some covered.

The large pub has been significantly refurbished in the last few years, and is both child- and dog-friendly. Food is served all day, and the ales are usually from local breweries.

Live music features occasionally, especially in summer.
