A traditional pub on two levels and formed of two old cottages knocked together with an attractive pub garden across the road. A more modern décor inside than you may expect approaching the pub.

The pub was sold by Fuller's to Admiral Taverns in June 2024 though Fuller's beers still feature on the bar. Last orders are 30 minutes before the advertised closing time.

Occasional live music plus a Blues Jam held on the first Sunday of each month 4pm - 7pm and a quiz night on the last Thursday.

Between Tuesday and Saturday Sally's Tea Room, a separate business, operates from the pub from 10-4 (9-2 Saturday)
