Pleasant riverside village local with a wood panelled lounge and a pool table in the bar. The pub closed in 2023 and the locals developed plans for a community buy-out. However new owners have acquired the pub and the steering group for the community buy-out has been wound down. Re-opened November 2024 and now serving food. Quiz night held on the last Wednesday of the month. Winner of Trip Advisor's Traveller's Choice Award 2025 and took the bronze award in the Melton Mowbray British Pie Awards in 2026 for its lamb,leek and lavender pie.

In August 2024 a group of investors exchanged contracts to buy the pub, with completion to take place in early September.
