Very large city centre pub located on the foundations of a 13th century hospice. The pub is fashioned after the Tudor style of buildings. It has a long open plan room served from a long central bar. It caters for large crowds during major sporting matches with multiple TV's, but due to its size, there are quiet areas of the pub. The pub has a large and popular outside area/garden, with heaters, which is unusual for the city centre, and a private function room for hire.

Step free access is via a ramp up to the door on the Princess Way side of the building. An accessible toilet is just inside this doorway, before entering the pub itself. Most of the pub has step free access, with just one seating alcove being down a couple of steps.
