This is an attractive 15th century freehouse that has a huge inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove in it, large flagstones and beams. Children are welcome if sat at a table away from the bar. There is occasionally a guest beer. Food is currently fish and chips on Friday evening and roast on Sunday lunchtime. Depending on custom it may shut at any time from 9pm on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, 6pm on Tuesdays, 8pm on Wednesdays and Sundays and 10pm on Thursdays (give them a ring to check latest times if coming any distance).
