Opened in April 2017 and extensively refurbished in 2020, this small, friendly, popular, family-run micropub comprises a single room with the bar positioned along the right-hand side. It has a cosy, homely feel. Tetley Bitter is the regular cask ale. The other four hand-pulls serve an ever varying range of cask ales, often including a dark beer, from regional breweries and sometimes further afield. It may be possible to try cask ales as four quarter pint samplers. Lagers, ciders and Guinness are available from the six keg taps. The pub is family and dog friendly. The small outside seating area to the front of the pub is next to a busy main road so expect plenty of noise! A secluded beer garden to the rear adds additional seating in a quieter location.
