Seven beer pumps adorn the bar of this multi-CAMRA-award winning 17thC country inn with unspoilt public bar, including its splendid hearth and open fire, tiny lounge and attractive garden with riverside play area. The pub offers excellent home-cooked food; the ham and eggs has a strong following. The car park is across the road.

Middleham Castle and Jervaulx Abbey are both within a mile or two, accessible along riverside walks.

Usually has four or five boxed ciders on offer.
