This popular, long-established gastro-pub is often busy with diners but drinkers are welcome in the area by the bar and outdoor tables. The décor is bright and welcoming with a bar on the right, warmed by a real fire, and dining area is on the left. Food is served throughout but note limited service times. The menu should suit all tastes, including children. The pub is dedicated to Tempest beers with at least two real ales on handpump along with a selection of their kegged beers. Lined glasses are used for beer served in thirds, halves and two-thirds measures.
