An imposing pub, operated by Marston's, opposite Childwall Church. Popular with families with large umbrellas and tables next to the bowling green and there is a children's play area. There is a grand view to the east on a clear day. With the Liverpool loop cycle track being nearby, bicycle stands are provided. Cask ale reduced to £2.20 after 8.00pm on Tuesdays. There are seven en-suite rooms bookable through Marston's Inns. Popular Sunday Carvery, 2 for 1 grills on Monday and Wednesday curry night.
