Set in the impressive Victorian facade of Chester Station with access to the concourse. Sister to the Brewery Tap in the city centre and serving four Spitting Feathers beers plus four more changing guests from various independent breweries.
A cask ale loyalty card for a free pint every five can be picked up at the bar.
Seating consists of cosy cubicles and central stools. The attractive arched windows echo those of the 19C Town Crier opposite and there is pleasing woodwork with Arts & Crafts inlay complemented by the florally-moulded ceiling and chandeliers.
Historic Interest
Beautifully restored area in the grade II listed station building with large original fireplace and ceiling.
Conversion
Local brewery Spitting Feathers converted the long-disused first-class waiting room in 2025, thus bringing a magnificent room back to life. In doing so, they revealed features that had been boarded up since the 1980s such as the large original fireplace and an ornate ceiling. It is adjacent to Chester's station concourse and in a beautifully restored wing of the Grade II listed station building. The pub has an attractive and distinctive interior that pays tribute to the original use of the building and has treated its old features respectfully. An ideal place to wait for a train.
