A three-storey former hotel situated within Leicester’s Church Gate conservation area, still boldly displaying the M&B Mitchells & Butlers logo on the front elevation wall. The entrance has doors left and right and faces a central servery. A narrow bar on the right has a pool table room adjoining, and there is a separate small lounge on the left. Traditional character.

Historic Interest

Originally owned by the Burton-upon-Trent brewer James Eadie Ltd. Later in the ownership of Bass and M&B. Adjacent on the left is the Great Meeting Unitarian Chapel, built in 1708 as a "Meeting House of Protestant Dissenters". The earliest example of a major brick building in Leicester, this Georgian chapel is a grade II listed building.
