Primarily a beer-drinker's pub in a Grade II-listed building on Thornbury's High Street. 200 years as a butcher's shop, with further records of use going back to the mid 17th century. The building has some superb period features such as fireplaces, alcoves and ceiling beams in its three rooms. There's also an ancient and massive front door and a recently enlarged outdoor drinking area at the front. The pub offers up to six cask beers on handpump, six craft keg beers, one real cider and one keg cider
