With welcoming staff the old stone Batemans pub is in the centre of the village served by regular buses. Award winning summer floral display adorns the exterior. Inside are photos of the old village. A separate restaurant serves fine food but does not impinge on the drinking area. Beer festivals, games, quizzes, meat raffles and charity events are popular. A new patio area is behind the pub. Dogs are welcome in non-food areas.
