The Bull is situated by the Bridgewater Canal, next to the hump backed bridge leading out of the village, and was extensively refurbished Summer 2025 with a fresh, more modern look. The regular Hydes ales are offered alongside at least one real ale from the monthly Hydes seasonal list. The popular comfortable lounge area with a real fire is to the front of the pub, and a public bar to the rear. The Bull is well worth a visit, as a true locals pub, where no food is served, and conversation is the norm.
