This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.

Refurbished Country Pub, Restaurant and Riverside Beer Garden set in the heart of Alton in the Staffordshire Moorlands with views over the Churnet Valley. There is an attractive, extensive beer garden running down to the River Churnet, with glorious views of the Alton Bridge itself. Accommodation is available and delicious home-cooked food is served at lunchtimes and evenings. The changing guest beers will often hail from local breweries. Awards: Pub of the season: Spring 2017.
