Fine village pub built of Chilmark stone, licenced since 1768, with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere appealing to locals and visitors alike. Run by the same landlord since 1976, it became a free house in 2009 and has three or four ales behind the bar. Excellent food is served and there is a spacious garden. A former local CAMRA Pub of the Year. Takeaway food is available.
