Refurbished in mid-2022, with bar and flooring in public bar being sanded down and re stained. Lounge completely re-done as more like a restaurant than previously
Two handpumps were installed in the public bar (previously in lounge) after the refurbishment several years ago with a house beer from Greene King on one and Landlord on the other. These pumps did ot survive long and latest information indicates that cask ale no longer offered. Still features a rare mirror from Campbell & Co's Argyll Brewery, established 1710.
Dating from 1838 and known locally as the 'Beastie', this is one of the earliest Cask Ale outlets in the North of Scotland going back to the 70s and the long defunct Youngers XXPS. It once featured in an episode of The Broons in the Sunday Post!
