The interior now comprises a central servery with a public bar to one side and a lounge and dining room with old low beams to the other side. There are a few outside tables overlooking the car park, and at the back is a pleasant small garden with covered pergola and hanging vines. Popular with rugby supporters; rugby frequently being the big topic of conversation at the bar.

Historic Interest

The earliest recorded entry for the Olde Blue Bell was in 1846, although the building itself starting life as three cottages, incorporating a bakery and a grocers. The pub and its out buildings were bought from the Duchy of Lancaster in 1901. It was then a small place, about half the size it is now, and consisted of a smoke room, a small snug and a tap room with an inglenook fireplace where the regulars used to gather.
