Active town pub. Darts, domino, football, cricket teams. They even have a whist team. A disabled ramp is provided for easy access. Bar area decked out in signed Newcastle United & WBFC shirts (landlord does some sponsorship for local Whitley Bay FC ) Young actors practice in room upstairs and do a live show 2nd Sat monthly (Comedy Club). Sometimes free Sunday barbecues in the summer months. A cheerful landlord who typifies the atmosphere in this happy pub.
