Black Horse Inn, Low Moor

A typical, no-frills Samuel Smiths pub with a traditional but pleasant interior. It comprises a main semi-open plan lounge area with a separate snug/games room to the right and a centrally located bar. The front of the lounge and the snug have stone flagged floors. The rooms have numerous interesting pictures on the walls. An extensive collection of books, mainly with a transport (especially, railway) theme, is provided throughout the pub and can help pass the time. When visited in May 2025, it was noted that cask ale was no longer available. Just the six keg taps remained and these offered a range of beers and a cider by Samuel Smiths. As usual with a Samuel Smiths pub, dogs, swearing and the use of electronic devices are not permitted within the pub.
