Remote pub on the B3190 Bampton to Watchet road. Formerly the Lowtrow Cross but now under the same ownership as Bittescombe Lodge & Deer Park.

The building dates from the 17th century and used to be a working farm. It has been a pub for more than a century. The 2023 refurbishment has included sympathetic renovation with much smartening up and the addition of a restaurant aimed successfully at foodies. The beer range shows promise and from local breweries.

The garden, a revised car park and five letting ensuit rooms are set to open in July 2023.
