The pub reopened in August 2023 after a long period of closure. 17th century pub, thatched roof and low beams, but modernised interior. The three cosy rooms around the front bar are normally set out for dining, and there are two separate rooms to the rear. Specialises in Indian food. A small patio outside the rear entrance; then a garden at the back with picnic tables and a play area, and a view of the field on which 'Bottle Kicking' takes place every Easter Monday. Hallaton Tearoom (open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-4pm) is adjacent. No scheduled bus service to Hallaton these days.
